About Green Packaging
ABOUT GREEN PACKAGING
Green packaging refers to the ability to reduce the impact on the environment during production, use and consumption, while plastic packaging is a widely used packaging material, but it seriously damages the environment and ecosystem due to its easy accumulation and difficulty in degradation. Therefore, if plastic packaging is to be called green packaging, the following factors need to be considered:
First, plastic packaging should be reusable. Reusing plastic packaging is more environmentally friendly than single-use plastic packaging, reducing the waste of plastic packaging and pollution of the environment.
Second, plastic packaging must be recyclable. Some plastic materials can be recycled, recovered and reused into new plastic products, thus reducing the amount of plastic waste.
Again, plastic packaging should be biodegradable. Degradable plastic materials can be broken down and biodegraded in the natural environment, making it more environmentally friendly.
Finally, green plastic packaging should have the ability to save energy and reduce emissions. By reducing the thickness and weight of packaging materials, it reduces energy consumption in the packaging process and shortens the distance goods are transported, thus reducing the impact on the environment.
Therefore, when considering whether plastic packaging is green packaging, the above factors need to be taken into account. For example, reusable plastic bags, recyclable plastic containers, biodegradable bio-plastic bags, etc., can be considered as green packaging.
